Wilson Blade 100 UL v7 - Review
Summary
The Wilson Blade 100L V7 is all about the signature Blade design in a lighter and cushioned format. The Blade incorporates the new technology called FeelFlex technology induced in the Wilson Clash which gives a softer and cushioned feel when the ball makes contact with the racquet. The 100L weighs 285gms unstrung with a swing weight of 316 and a 16x19 string pattern, what’s also new is the longer handle taper which two hander’s would love working with.

Bottom Line
It’s quite amazing how this racquet brings a bit of everything together at a manageable weight for a intermediate/club level player. There is access to power and spin without losing out on stability and comfort, which is what makes the racquet so unique and special.

Groundstrokes - Score : 9
The 100L is a bit more power oriented in comparison to the 98 head size version of the same racquet with a slightly thicker beam it provides easy access to power. The 100 sq inch head size offers a generous sweet spot resulting in being able to generate impactful ground strokes from both flanks. Like the other V7 models it takes no special mention about the stability and maneuverability that this version offers, it is quite easy to hit the right spots and generate a good amount of topspin which is what a modern day player usually looks for.
This racquet should suit intermediate level player and also club level players as there is easy access to power and spin.
Volleys - Score : 8
The 100L V7 does a decent job at the net soaking up the pressure of impact. The racquet is pretty crisp in response and acts pretty stable, performance wise you cannot ask for more from a racquet that is light on weight. Found the 100L to be accurate in putting away easy balls at the net and closing out the point, same goes with smashes.
Serves - Score : 8.5
On serve the 100L did a good job giving adequate power and precision on first serves, it gives the liberty to swing at the ball a little faster and the results were really good. The open string pattern in 100L gives you plenty of access to spin and generates a nice rip while going for an effective kick serve, the easy to generate racquet speed allows you go heavy on the second serves.
Returns - Score : 8.5
On returns, found the 100L to be pretty stable, again the light nature of the racquet helps you to take a quick swing and at contact the racquet was very surprisingly very stable for its weight. The bigger sweet spot and the wider string pattern allows you to go aggressively at the returns, found it quite easy to attack second serves and go for big cuts with backhand slice.
