Many of today’s ranked players play with customized racquets. Some of them have their racquets customized during manufacturing and rest all get it done in a pro-shop by a technician.
You can do the same. More and more professional & non-professional players are benefitting from this ‘tweaking’ of their racquets to improve performance.
What is Racquet Customization?
With Racquets Customization you can alter the weight, balance & swing weight of the racquet to your desired specs. This is usually done by adding appropriate amount of lead in proper positions on the racquet.
Why Should I customize my Racquet?
The racquets are usually customized for 2 reasons.
2. Matching: Brand new racquets of same model may look the same, but have tremendous variations from frame to frame in weight, balance & swingweight to a permissible extent of manufacturing tolerance, which is usually upto 7 gms in weight and 2 points in balance. As a result, the playability of one racquet to another may vary and affect your game. We can professionally correct this manufacturing imperfections and guarantee that all of your racquets will have exactly the same
Weight – by adjusting the overall weight of the racquet to match
Balance – by adjusting/shifting the balance point
Swingweight – by modifying the swing weight (Longitudinal, transverse or vertical axis)
Racquet matching is probably the most frequent service requested.
Customization is often a reversible procedure. If you don’t like it, you can simply remove the lead tape and have the racquet back to its original specs.
The Racquet Customization is done by our in-house Racquet Technician using Prince Precision Tuning Machine.
