Introduction
Tennis grips are one of the essential parts of a tennis racquet. There are types of grips that are used on a tennis racquet. One is the original grip which comes reapplied on the racquet. The original grip ensures that there are less vibrations while hitting a ball. Another grip is called as over grip. Over grips are applied on an original grip. Over grips are used to absorb all the sweat and help in retaining the tackiness. Now we’ll head into the details of different types of over grips
- Absorbent over grips
- Tacky over grips
- vTextured over grips
Absorbent over grips
Everybody sweats during a tennis game. Sliding racquets in the hands of a player is not a good way to win. These are those kinds of grips which specialize in absorbing all the sweat and increase the level of comfort while playing. They are thinner and not so durable when compared to other grips.
Tacky over grips
The name says it all. This grip will help in holding the grip in an effective way. It helps in stability of the racquet in the hand. Tacky over grips are usually durable and last longer hence a lot of money can be saved.
Textured over grips
Textured over grips have little groves for better grip. These grips are usually thicker for extra comfort while playing. They are more durable than absorbent grips but less than a tacky grip.
